Can someone please explain this Joe Lieberman situation? How does this guy lose a primary as a Democrat, yet win an election as an "independent?" Who voted for this guy? The Democrats of Connecticut tell him they don't want him around anymore in the primary, so he makes one technical change (scratches out Democrat and adds independent to his yard signs) and the general populace votes him in?

I don't care what his policies are, I wouldn't vote for him strictly on principle. Can you really trust a guy who is essentially lying about who he is? This guy will do anything to get elected, even trade sides. If he were fighting as a Confederate during the Civil War, would he have defected to Yankee when he saw the impending outcome?

I have seen NO press about this sleight of hand and I am starting to wonder if I am the only one bothered by this.
